Case Study 15
Detective Comics 107
The comic arrived to us already graded by CBCS as a 2.0. There was a lot of general creasing that would improve and also a large amount of dirt and finger oils that had become ingrained in many areas. There were a small handful of small pieces that had been torn off and lost along its journey and the top staple had started to eat its way through the cover and was at a very slight risk of becoming detached..We released the comic from its plastic case and set about cleaning as much as was safe. After working out as much of the creasing as was possible, taking into account the condition of the spine and top staple, we shipped it off to CGC for grading.
